We would've been a point behind the Pens if we didn't blow it yesterday. But I'd take 3/4 points anyday. |

this whole grabo situation really sucks. u gotta think, other than parise or suter who both wont realistically get moved at the deadline, grabo can probably get the next biggest return. id hate to be in burkies position right now. |

If BB wants a grittier team with speed and determination then he builds around Grabo. I say he signs him and not trade him and sign him now so his agent doesn't ask for King's ransom in the summer or walk for free. |

Grabovski isn't going anywhere. He loves it here. I wouldn't be surprised to see him take a home town discount. He's got a young family, married to a Toronto girl, and wants to settle down here. I see a 4/5 year deal, if he takes a discount, maybe around $4.5-$4.8, if not, nothing more than $5.3 |

they alrdy tried resigning him now, talks broke down. he's hands down the best centre available this summer, looking at what mediocre players get in free agency (ie: leino 27$ mil for 6 years) theres no way we can get him for less than 5 mil a season. then the question is r u willing to sign ur 2nd line centre for 5 mil? personally i would say sign him and just let him play 1st beside lupul n kessel and then go out and get a gritty 2nd line centre |

Here's a trip down memory lane...
Remember two seasons ago when Grabovski had just finished the first year of the contract Burke gave him?
Remember when he was pretty much deemed "untradable" by Leaf fans due to his "terrible contract"? |

The problem is, Burke isn't negotiating with Grabovski, he's negotiating with Grabovski's agent. It seems like agents have more say than the actual player on what they sign for and where they end up. Grabovski may love Toronto but at the end of the day, if Burke isn't willing to give him what his agent thinks he's worth then he's not going to sign. It's ridiculous how passive hockey players are in this process. |
